The Presidents

I came in to work today bright and early, and this was the first picture I saw. It was on the front page of the Star-Telegram. I looked at it for a while, wondering what kind of thoughts it brought to mind in this country. And, so, in the spirit of local radio jocks, I go to "the people".
What -- if any -- thoughts does it bring you? I'd love to hear them. It also tells me how many people are visiting the blog regularly.
I'll give you mine, when I hear from the people.

If Reagan was alive, and present, it would be a gathering of every president I remember in my lifetime. It also gives me a message of hope and unity. Yet, it reeks of being phony. Who knows what's really on their minds? Sadly, probably nothing more than their own interests. I hate to be cynical. So, I have hope, again, that things will change.

It's amazing how far along our country has come. Who would have thought that in our lifetime we would get to see a Black man standing amongst all these powerful men and hold the same title of President of the United States! Now I can truly tell my kids, who are Hispanic, that they can be President of this great country of ours and mean it (although I really would not wish this stressful job on them).
